The Dover real estate market lies in what is known as the Land Between the Lakes.  The Cumberland River comes from Nashville to Dover and just beyond is a dam that forms Lake Barkley.  Lake Barkley has a lock so you can go from Lake Barkley to Lake Kentucky.  The area is rich in wildlife, eagles, buffalo and ducks and fish. 

Dover is a small real estate market.  It is actually a small river town that mostly appeals to retired military and other retirees.  There is no industry in Dover. The area is mainly rural, offers ample hunting and fishing and low taxes.  Except for lake property, Dover real estate prices are low.
